What is Trimlight's warranty?

Trimlight offers a lifetime product warranty on many of its lighting products. The warranty covers eligible parts for the manufacturer’s estimated lifespan of those components, which is based on up to 50,000 hours of use. Trimlight dealers are also required to provide a minimum one-year labor warranty, although some dealers may offer longer labor coverage.

To report a faulty component or request warranty service, contact the local Trimlight dealer that installed or services your system. Eligible replacement parts may be covered under the product warranty, but labor charges may apply after the dealer’s labor-warranty period has ended. Labor coverage is provided by the local dealer rather than Trimlight headquarters.

The lifetime product warranty is tied to the expected lifespan of the covered component rather than an unlimited number of calendar years. For Trimlight’s residential lighting products, the LED lifespan is rated for up to 50,000 hours of use.

How long the system lasts will depend on how frequently the lights operate. Under typical nighttime use, Trimlight states that components may last approximately 20 to 30 years. Systems used only during holidays may last longer, while leaving the lights operating continuously during both the day and night can shorten their lifespan.

The minimum labor warranty lasts for one full year and may cover the labor required to repair manufacturer-defective parts, including eligible bulbs, controllers, power-supply components, connections, and channel finishes. Individual Trimlight dealers may provide longer labor warranties, so homeowners should contact their local dealer for the exact terms that apply to their installation.

Warranty coverage can vary by product. Certain Trimlight products, accessories, finishes, lenses, software, connection problems, accidental damage, unauthorized alterations, improper installation, and damage caused by outside conditions may have different coverage or may be excluded. Review the complete warranty terms for the specific product installed at your property before requesting service.

Registering the system can help ensure that the necessary ownership and installation information is available if warranty service is needed. Keep your installation documents and contact information for the local dealer in a safe place.
