My Trimlight Edge lights aren't turning off. What do I do?
If your Trimlight Edge lights are not turning off at the scheduled time, the controller may not have been placed into Timer Mode. Timer Mode must be active for the controller to follow the schedules saved in the Trimlight Edge app. Reopening the app and selecting Timer Mode again can refresh the setting and allow the controller to resume following its programmed schedule.
Open the Trimlight Edge app on your mobile device and navigate to the settings page. Locate the option for Timer Mode and select it. Once Timer Mode has been activated, exit the app and allow the controller a moment to receive the updated setting.
If the lights still do not turn off, force close the Trimlight Edge app so it is no longer running in the background. Reopen the app, return to the settings page, and select Timer Mode again. After confirming that Timer Mode is active, exit the app.
You should also review the schedule saved in the app. Confirm that the correct pattern has been selected and that the scheduled start and stop times are accurate. Make sure the schedule is enabled and set for the correct days of the week. An incorrect time, disabled schedule, or missing day selection may prevent the lights from turning off when expected.
After checking the schedule, place the controller back into Timer Mode and close the app. Allow the system enough time to update before testing the schedule again.
If the lights continue to stay on, force close and reopen the app one more time to refresh the connection between the app and controller. You may also need to perform a soft reset on the controller before returning to the app and selecting Timer Mode again. If the issue continues after completing these steps, contact your local Trimlight dealer for additional troubleshooting assistance.
