Trimlight Edge patterns — how to rotate, schedule and customise lighting
In this video, we demonstrate how to rotate multiple Trimlight Edge patterns throughout the night using your saved schedules. This feature allows your permanent outdoor lights to change automatically at selected intervals, so you can create a more varied display without reopening the app and manually choosing a new pattern. It is useful for holidays, parties, game days, seasonal displays, and other occasions when you want your lighting to change as the evening continues.
With Trimlight Edge, you can cycle between two and five different saved lighting patterns. Before creating the rotation, make sure each pattern you want to use has already been created and saved in the Trimlight Edge app. You can choose different colors, animations, and effects for each part of the display, then arrange them in the order you want them to appear.
Each pattern can run for a maximum interval of 10 minutes before the system moves to the next saved design. For example, you could begin the evening with a soft white accent pattern, transition to a colorful holiday display, and then finish with a slower animated pattern later at night. A five-pattern rotation can give guests several different looks during a party or event while allowing the entire display to operate automatically.
When setting up the rotation, review the selected patterns and their order before saving the schedule. Confirm that each pattern is active, the timing is correct, and the controller is placed in the proper timer or schedule mode. After saving your settings, exit the app and allow the controller a moment to receive the updated programming.
You can use this feature to create a coordinated Christmas sequence, rotate through team colors on game day, display several patriotic patterns, or combine calm everyday lighting with more animated effects. Because the changes happen automatically, you can enjoy a dynamic lighting display without repeatedly adjusting the system from your phone.
