The color zones available in the Trimlight Edge app depend on how your lighting system was installed and connected to the controller. Each controller output may operate a specific run of lights or section of the home. Larger homes with several rooflines may have multiple programmable areas, while smaller installations may have fewer sections available.
Because every home and lighting layout is different, the zones shown in your app may not match the examples on this page exactly. The shape of your home, the number of controller outputs, and the order of the installed lights all affect how the system is divided.
Open the custom pattern page in the Trimlight Edge app and select the colors you want to display. Apply those colors to the available sections, then watch the lights on your home to see which area responds. This will help you identify which controller output operates each section of your lighting system.
You could use one color around the garage, another across the upper roofline, and a third near the front entrance. Repeating the same colors across multiple areas can create a balanced appearance, while contrasting colors can highlight individual peaks, entryways, or other architectural details.
Continue adjusting the color assignments until the lighting display matches the design you have in mind. Color zoning can be used for holidays, school colors, game days, celebrations, or everyday accent lighting. Once the pattern looks right, save it in the app so you can quickly select it again later or add it to a schedule.
