How do I save a pattern with Trimlight?
You can save a custom lighting pattern through the Trimlight app after connecting to your controller and creating the colors and effects you want to display. Press Enter to apply the pattern, then use the clock icon in the bottom-right corner of the app to open your saved Pattern Library.
Open the Trimlight app and connect to the controller for your lighting system. Create your pattern by choosing the colors, spacing, animation, and other available settings. Preview the display on your lights and make any adjustments needed until the pattern looks the way you want.
When the design is ready, press Enter in the app to apply and save the pattern. You can then tap the clock icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open the area containing your current saved patterns. Review the Pattern Library to confirm that the new design appears in the list.
Clear pattern names can make your saved displays easier to recognize later, especially when you have several designs for different holidays or events. Consider using names that describe the colors or occasion, such as “Christmas Red and Green,” “Warm White Accent,” “Game Day,” or “Birthday Colors.” This can also make it easier to find the correct pattern when creating a timer or schedule.
To rename an existing pattern, open the Pattern Library by tapping the clock icon. Locate the saved pattern you want to update and swipe left across its name. The available options will appear beside the pattern. Select Rename, enter the new name, and save the change.
Renaming a pattern only changes its label in the library. It does not alter the colors, animation, brightness, spacing, or other settings used in the display.
The same swipe-left menu may also include an option to delete the pattern. Use the trash-can icon only when you are certain you no longer need the saved design. Deleting a pattern may also affect any schedules using it, so review your timers afterward and select another pattern if necessary.
If a saved or renamed pattern does not appear immediately, force close the Trimlight app and reopen it to refresh the Pattern Library.
