How do I group multiple controllers in Trimlight Edge?
In this tutorial, we will show you how to group multiple controllers using the Trimlight Edge app, allowing you to seamlessly control your Trimlight system across various areas of your home or business.
Setting Up a Controller Group
Each controller must already be added to the same Trimlight account and connected to a local Wi-Fi network. Grouping is unavailable when a controller is operating only through the blue Wi-Fi Broadcasting connection, so confirm that each controller has been paired to a network before creating the group.
Return to the main controller list in the Trimlight Edge app and tap the plus (+) symbol in the upper-right corner. Select Add Group, then enter a clear name that will help you recognize the group later.
Choose the controllers you want to include and select one as the Master controller. This controller provides the programming that will be shared with the remaining controllers in the group.
Open the assigned Master controller and make the desired changes. You can select or edit patterns, create daily timers, and schedule calendar events. When the programming is ready, return to the group list and tap the Sync symbol next to the group. The other controllers will then be updated to match the Master controller’s selected patterns, timer events, and calendar events.
Remember that future changes made to the Master may need to be synchronized again before the other controllers receive the updated programming.
