How do I delete or rename a pattern in my Trimlight Select Plus phone app?

Saved patterns can be deleted or renamed through the Pattern Library in the Trimlight Select Plus app. Open the clock icon in the bottom-right corner of the app, locate the pattern you want to change, and swipe left on its name to display the available options. From there, select the trash-can icon to delete the pattern or choose Rename to update its name.

Open the Trimlight Select Plus app and tap the clock icon located in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This will take you to the area containing your saved schedules and Pattern Library.

Find the pattern you want to remove or rename. Swipe left across the pattern name to reveal the available controls. Tap the trash-can icon to delete the selected pattern.

Review the pattern name carefully before deleting it. Removing a pattern may also affect any schedules that were created to use that saved design. If the pattern is part of an active timer or schedule, review those settings afterward and select a different saved pattern if necessary.

To change the name of an existing pattern, follow the same steps. Open the Pattern Library, find the saved design, and swipe left across its name. Select the Rename option instead of the trash-can icon, enter the new name, and save the change.

Giving patterns clear names can make them easier to find when creating schedules or switching between displays. For example, you might name patterns according to the holiday, color combination, animation, or event they were designed for. Names such as “Christmas Red and Green,” “Warm White Accent,” or “Game Day Colors” are easier to recognize than several patterns with similar generic titles.

Renaming a pattern changes its label in the library but does not change the colors, spacing, animation, brightness, or other settings used in the design. The pattern itself will continue to display the same way unless you open it and edit those settings separately.

After deleting or renaming a pattern, return to the Pattern Library and confirm that the update appears correctly. If the old name remains visible, force close the Trimlight Select Plus app and reopen it to refresh the library.

Be careful when deleting patterns because the app may not provide a way to restore a design after it has been removed. When you only want to make the pattern easier to identify, renaming it is usually the better option. You can then continue using the saved design in your schedules and lighting displays under its new name.
