How do I soft reset my controller for Trimlight Select Plus?

A soft reset can help when your Trimlight Select Plus controller is not responding, appears disconnected in the app, or is having trouble communicating with your home network. The process is a simple power cycle that allows the controller to shut down completely and restart with a refreshed connection. You will temporarily remove the green power block from the top of the controller, wait 30 seconds to one minute, and then reconnect it. After the controller powers back on, completely close and reopen the Trimlight app to refresh communication between your phone, controller, and network.

Locate the small green power block connected to the red and black wires at the top of the Select Plus controller. Carefully pull the green connector vertically out of the unit. Hold the green block itself rather than pulling on the wires, as pulling directly on the wires could loosen or damage the connection.

Leave the controller disconnected for at least 30 seconds and up to one full minute. Even if the indicator lights turn off immediately, wait for the full amount of time so the controller can completely power down.

After the waiting period, carefully reinsert the green power block into the same connection point. Check that the connector is properly aligned and securely seated. The controller will begin restarting once power is restored, so give it a few moments before trying to operate the lights.

Next, force close the Trimlight app on your mobile device. Simply leaving the app open in the background may not fully refresh its connection. Close the app completely, wait a few seconds, and then reopen it.
