How to reset your Trimlight Edge control box — step by step
Resetting your Trimlight control box may be necessary when troubleshooting your permanent lighting system or reconnecting it after changing your internet provider, router, or Wi-Fi password. The reset process is different depending on whether you have a Select controller or an Edge controller, so make sure you identify your system before beginning. For the Select controller, press and hold the minus button (-) until the unit flashes. Once the controller flashes, disconnect the system from its power source. For the Edge controller, unplug the unit first. Then press and hold both the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons while plugging the unit back into its power source.
All Trimlight Systems:
Select System- Press and hold the minus button (-) on the control box. Continue holding the button until the unit gives a quick red flash. Once you see the red flash, unplug the Trimlight system from its power source. This will complete the reset process for the Select controller. Allow the unit a moment before plugging it back in or beginning the reconnection process.
Edge System- Begin by unplugging the control box from its power source. While the unit is still unplugged, press and hold both the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons at the same time. Continue holding both buttons while plugging the control box back into the power source. Make sure both buttons are being held before the unit is plugged back in.
To determine whether you have an Edge controller or a Select controller, look at the upper-left corner of the control box. If there are three small indicator lights in the upper-left corner, you have an Edge controller. If your controller does not have those three indicator lights, you have a Select controller.
After completing the reset, you may need to reconnect the controller to the Trimlight app or your Wi-Fi network.
